Talisman is the fire-themed piece in my three-painting series exploring how constraints unlock creative freedom. Each painting is created through the same process of wet-canvas striking, freeform brushwork, and meticulously placed geometries that adapt to every motion. By limiting my process to only this sequence of steps, the resulting design unfolds in time like a chain reaction of instinct and intention.  I felt that this design was more symmetrical and totem-like than the others, hence the name Talisman, a magical object believed to bring good luck, protection and power.
